A native Texan and recent Midwest transplant, Dr. Mehta was born and raised in Houston, Texas and completed her undergraduate education at Rice University. As a Rice-UT Public Health Scholar, she pursued an MPH in Epidemiology and Global Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health, after which she earned her MD at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas. She completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her special interests include high risk obstetrics and minimally invasive robotic surgery with the Da Vinci system. Dr. Mehta strives to provide compassionate, evidence-based care and build strong relationships with each of her patients. Outside of work, Dr. Mehta enjoys singing, cooking, traveling, practicing yoga, and spending time with friends and family.
